Sales Representative

They will manage and expand existing accounts, develop new accounts and accurately enter customer data and transactions into our systems.  They will collaborate with their colleagues in other departments and represent What’s Brewing at industry events. The Sales Representative will provide ongoing client support that provides value for clients and builds customer loyalty towards What’s Brewing.

The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work effectively in a team, as well as individually to promote and grow the business. They should be able to successfully analyze sales data and then implement those learnings into a sales strategy. The ideal candidate should be outgoing and a strong communicator. They should be able to collaborate and think creatively about new solutions and opportunities. Ability to manage multiple competing demands in a complex and ever evolving environment will be required. The successful candidate should have a passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer service.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is preferred.

  • Three (3) years of coffee industry experience is required. Experience in sales, business development or brand management is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

  • The ability to provide positive customer support behaviors is required.

  • Self-motivated, self-directed and problem-solving attitude

  • Must demonstrate effective judgment with the ability to collaborate and/or request assistance when needed is required.

  • Strong self-initiative with an ability to operate at a high level with minimum supervision is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new office tools and equipment as well as industry advances in technology is required.

  • Must be passionate and knowledgeable about specialty coffee.

  • Maintaining an active network among coffee roasters within their region is required.

  • Experience working within a roasting company or coffee importer is preferred.

  • Q Grader certification or other professional coffee cupping experience is preferred.

Job Requirements

  • Manage existing accounts and facilitate each client’s experience with other departments.

  • Engage stakeholders (e.g., cross-functional team members/critical functional resources) to execute business plans, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer needs and drive profitable growth.

  • Develop new business opportunities, which include prospecting, cold calling and qualifying new leads, meeting and presenting for new potential customers, and cultivating relationships.

  • Learn about the client and their unique needs to be able to provide better product recommendations, and better service.

  • Communicate with supervisor on activities such as weekly work plans, monthly and annual travel plans and personal sales goals.

  • Facilitate good partnerships through active management of Accounts Receivable for existing accounts.

  • Maintain awareness of current marketplace information on pricing, products, competitors, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. and communicate information to other team members.

  • Maintain active engagement in What’s Brewing’s coffees in terms of quality and origin information.

  • Resolve client needs by investigating problems and implementing solutions; provide recommendations and perspective so the team can grow and improve.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and networks.

  • Own the active engagement with clients through timely communication, video calls, and in-person meetings when appropriate.

  • Maintain records in all company platforms.

  • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with stakeholders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Barista (part-time)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred barista experience: 2 years or more.

  • Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Focus on customer satisfaction.

  • Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages.

  • Be efficient and organized.

  • Build good relationships with customers.

  • Maintain a clean work environment.

  • Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime.

Job Requirements

  • Able to lift 50 pounds consecutively.

  • Able to work an 8 hour shift on your feet.

  • Basic math skills.


Order Fulfillment Team Member (full-time)

Skills & Qualifications

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a dedication to quality.

  • Ability to manage their time effectively to complete all orders within a set timeframe.

  • Organizational skills to manage multiple orders at a time without errors.

  • Interpersonal skills to work well within a team environment.

  • Basic computer knowledge to complete digital paperwork and shipping manifests.

  • Ability to work safely within a warehouse environment.

  • Ability to follow existing company policies and procedures.
